In this blog, we are going to see about the hyperloop technology, the modern transportation of the future.
 

What is Hyperloop Technology?

Hyperloop technology, the word coined by Elon Musk in 2012, is the idea of a vacuum tube transportation system that we will use in transportation with the help of a vacuum tube, pods, and magnetic levitation.
 

How does it work?

To make transportation, we need vacuum tubes in all areas, like train tracks, because passengers travel only in pods that are inside the vacuum tube. The basic idea of this system is to reduce the air inside the tube to a vacuum and use magnetic levitation between the inside of the vacuum tube and pods to make the pods move. Without any air or friction, the pod will travel at high speed.
 

The major benefits of Hyperloop Technology 

  • We can reduce the travel time because using this hyperloop technology we will be travelling up to 1200 km/h.
  • We don't worry about petrol, diesel, or any other non-renewable energy for transportation because it can use renewable energy like solar energy, wind energy, etc.
  • We will become eco-friendly because it will not produce any harmful gases like carbon monoxide or any greenhouse gases.
 
Also, it has some challenges:
  • Building the new transportation, like the railways, requires more money and seems expensive to build from scratch.
  • It is still under testing, and we are not sure how it is possible for humans to travel without any harm at 1200 km/h inside the pods.
  • Difficulty in practicality, if it comes under public use, we need more pods and more vacuum tube tracks like railways, but its maintenance is comparatively hard if it gets more quantity.
 
However, some companies, like Virgin Hyperloop One, were already testing this hyperloop technology successfully.

Most of the world countries, including India, the US, the UAE, Canada, China, and Europe, are planning to implement this hyperloop technology for logistics transportation and commercial transportation. And they are ready to implement their 1st hyperloop transportation between their cities.

The world is emerging into new modern technology like artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, genetic engineering, the Internet of Things, robotics, and more in every field. As like that, we need the new modern technology, like hyperloop technology, in logistics and transportation to align with the futuristic world.
